DROGA PHARMA PLC, established in 2015, is a major importer and distributor of pharmaceutical products in Ethiopia. With over 400 employees and a growing chain of pharmacies and physiotherapy clinics, we are currently hiring a Cashier Accountant to join our finance team.

Key Responsibilities

The Cashier Accountant will handle daily financial transactions and reconciliation. Key duties include:

  • Sales Recording: Record credit and cash sales in the system.
  • Collections: Collect bank documents, record payments, and issue Cash Receipt Vouchers (CRV).
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile VAT balances between system, cash register, and manual invoices daily.
  • Petty Cash: Effect payments, request replenishment, and send settlement documents to Accounts Payable.
  • Reporting: Follow up on credit balances and report to the Senior Accountant (AR).
  • Documentation: Proper filing of financial documents and handover to customers.
  • Account Lettering: Perform customer account matching.

Requirements & Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Education: BSc Degree or Diploma in Accounting and Finance from a recognized university or college.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 Year relevant experience.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Attention to detail in financial recording.
