About the Role
The Hope, Empowerment and Resilience (HER) Project is a multi-country, consortium-led initiative funded by AfD. It aims to strengthen the resilience of displacement-affected women and girls in Sudan and Ethiopia.
The Inclusive Systems Coordinator is a core technical position within the Consortium Management Unit (CMU). You will provide strategic leadership to ensure interventions use coherent, systems-based approaches (market systems, institutional mapping) to balance humanitarian response with long-term resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Provide QA on inclusive systems approaches across the project lifecycle.
- Economic Recovery: Guide market-based programming and women’s economic empowerment strategies.
- Integration: Collaborate with Protection, Health, and Peacebuilding leads to ensure integrated programming (HDP Nexus).
- Adaptive Management: Support MEAL teams to track systems-level change and adapt interventions.
- Capacity Building: Train consortium partners on systems thinking and adaptive programming.
- Strategic Input: Advise the Steering Committee on risk analysis and sustainability.
Requirements
🎓 Education
Master’s Degree in Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or Business Management. (Bachelor’s with substantial experience may be considered).
📅 Experience
Minimum 7–10 Years of progressively responsible experience in:
- Inclusive Systems / Market Systems Development.
- Economic Recovery in fragile/conflict contexts.
- HDP Nexus programming.
🗣️ Skills & Languages
- Full professional proficiency in English (Required).
- Arabic and/or Amharic strongly preferred.
- Strong expertise in systems analysis and facilitation.
