About the Traineeship Opportunity
- Position: Funded Trainee
- Section: Political, Press and Information (PPI)
- Duration: Up to 6 months
- Start Date: November 2025
- Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Main Tasks
As a trainee, you will assist the PPI section with a variety of tasks, including:
- Conducting research and political analysis on regional situations.
- Supporting press engagement by drafting newsletters, press releases, and social media posts.
- Producing and editing short videos, social media cards, and factsheets using platforms like Canva.
- Coordinating communication efforts and organizing internal and external events.
Who We’re Looking For (Eligibility & Qualifications)
- Residency: Applicants must currently reside in Ethiopia.
- Education: A Master’s degree in communication, journalism, political science, international relations, economics, law, or other social studies.
- Experience: A maximum of 1 year of professional work experience.
- Language: Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication abilities.
- Proven capacity to produce audiovisual and social media content (experience with Canva or similar platforms is key).
- A keen understanding of EU and African Union politics.
