Registration for candidates taking the exam in January 2018 E.C. officially begins on December 06, 2018 E.C. (Mid-December 2025).

Fee Required: 750 Birr

Who Needs to Register?

  • First-Time Takers: You do NOT need to register yourself online. Your university/college will send your data to the Ministry of Education. Registration dates will be specified by your institution.
  • Re-Exam Candidates (Retakers): You MUST register yourself online via the official portal.

Step-by-Step Registration Guide (For Retakers)

If you are taking the Exit Exam again, follow these steps strictly:

  1. Visit the Portal: Go to the official link https://exam.ethernet.edu.et.
  2. Login: Use your previous username. If you forgot it, use the “Forgotten Username” option. If you have multiple usernames from past attempts, the system will show all; choose one to proceed.
  3. Payment Process:
    • Click the Payment button on the portal.
    • Select TeleBirr as your payment method.
    • Go to Education Fee > Educational Assessment and Examinations Service.
    • Pay the 750 Birr administration fee.
  4. Confirm Registration: Ensure your payment is verified on the portal to complete your registration.

*Note: Your exam password and entrance ticket will be issued when the exam date approaches.

Exam Overview

  • Format: Online Computer-Based Test.
  • Duration: 3 Hours.
  • Scoring: Graded out of 100%. Pass mark is 60%.
  • Content: Includes Mathematics, English, Natural/Social Sciences, and department-specific subjects.
