About Bank Bunna
In order to support the goals and aspirations of the community, Bunna Bank was founded. On June 25, 2009, it received its licence from the National Bank of Ethiopia in compliance with Proclamation No. 59 on the licencing and supervision of banking businesses. In Ethiopia’s banking history, we are a third-generation banking group that is expanding quickly.

At the beginning, the bank had Birr 156 million in paid-up capital and Birr 308 million in subscribed capital. With more than 13,024 shareholders, the paid-up capital has now risen to over Birr 3.3 billion. As a result, Bunna Bank is now among the most powerful and well-known privately held companies in Ethiopia.
