Wasasa microfinance has been providing financial services to the poor communities since the year 2000. The company is now wants to recruit qualified and competent applicant on the following job position.
Wasasa Microfinance S.C. was established by Oromo Self-Reliance Association (OSRA), a local NGO and got a Microfinancing Business License No. MFI/017/2000 from National Bank of Ethiopia on September 20, 2000. Since then the Company has been working with poor communities (mainly the rural poor) by providing savings and credit services; it currently has 51 Branches and 24 Rural Banks which are operating in 58 Woredas of Oromia Regional State with a plan to expand every year.
Position: IT Auditor
Desired Qualifications:
- Should be a BSc in Computer science, Information science, Management Information System, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or IT related fields of study with minimum of 4(Four) years of relevant work experience out of which 2 years as IT and System auditor.
Essential requirement:
- Competence in MS office
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Extensive knowledge and skill in applying internal auditing and ICT principles and practices, and management principles & preferred business practices
- Knowledge of information systems audit or investigation.
- Considerable knowledge of internal audit standards, IT Audit practices and code of ethics
- Knowledge on international best practices in IS security and IS Auditing.
- Knowledge of contemporary risk management and control techniques and working knowledge of contemporary control frameworks
- Ability to promote the ICT audit activity within the institution
- Keeping up to date with professional changes in opinions, standards and regulations
- Experience of IT auditing techniques, disaster recovery planning and testing, IT risk analysis, business resumption and contingency planning
Language Proficiency: Good command of written and spoken English & Afan Oromo is required.
Salary: As per the salary scale of the Institution
