UniGeApply for Students with Non-Italian Qualifications
The University of Genoa (UniGe) has opened its international admission portal, UniGeApply, for the Academic Year 2026/2027. This call is specifically for students holding foreign (non-Italian) qualifications who wish to enroll in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programs in Italy.

Application Process (Step-by-Step)
Follow these steps strictly to apply via the UniGeApply portal:
- Register for Credentials:
- New Students: Register on the UniGe portal to get your UniGePass credentials (e.g., S1234567).
- Returning Students: Do NOT re-register. Use your old credentials.
- Pay the Fee (Visa Applicants Only):
- Pay the €30 Euro application fee via UniGeShop.
- Payment methods: Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard), PayPal, etc.
- Note: You cannot submit your application without payment.
- Submit Application:
- Log in to UniGeApply.
- Select up to 2 Courses.
- Upload Documents (Passport, Transcript, Diploma – Max 2MB PDF).
- Click “Save” to submit. Status must show: “Complete, pending evaluation”.
- Wait for Outcome:
- Green: Accepted.
- Yellow: Conditionally Accepted (Missing documents).
- Red: Rejected.
Important Documents Required
- Passport: Valid international passport (JPG Format).
- Educational Certificates: High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (for Master’s applicants).
- Language Proficiency: English or Italian certificate (depending on the course).
- Photo: Passport-size photo (JPG).
Next Steps After Acceptance
If you are accepted in the Fall Session (Visa Applicants), you must proceed to the Universitaly portal (opening March/April 2026) to apply for your Study Visa.
