Available Opportunities
Position 1: Engineer (P-4)
This is a senior professional role for an experienced engineer to lead the maintenance, operations, and project coordination within the Facilities Management Section.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and delivery of maintenance for key building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Manage internal teams and external service providers to ensure quality and safety standards.
- Lead initiatives to improve energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
- Contribute to budget formulation, contract management, and technical reporting.
- Qualifications:
- Education: Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in engineering or architecture. A first-level degree with two additional years of experience may be accepted.
- Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in engineering. Experience in managing large facilities is desirable.

Position 2: Diversity and Outreach Intern
This is an unpaid, 6-month internship for a student or recent graduate passionate about human resources, diversity, and inclusion. The intern will support the recruitment team in promoting inclusive outreach and engagement.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Support the identification of networks representing persons with disabilities and underrepresented groups.
- Draft inclusive outreach messages for job openings.
- Review job postings to ensure gender-sensitive and disability-inclusive language.
- Contribute to planning outreach events and awareness campaigns.
- Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s program, or be enrolled in or have completed a Master’s or PhD program.
- A field of study related to Human Resources, Social Sciences, or a related area is required.

This is an unpaid, 6-month internship for a student or recent graduate with a keen interest in economic development, infrastructure, and technology in Africa. The intern will support the Connectivity and Infrastructure Development Section.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting analytical research on transport development (rail, road, air, maritime).
- Compile, process, and analyze data on transport and energy in Africa.
- Support officers in conducting programs and projects related to infrastructure and economic development.
- Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s program, or be enrolled in or have completed a Master’s or PhD program.
- A field of study closely related to Economics, Transport, or Development is required.
