Amhara Bank Announcement of Job Vacancies 2023:

 

First Post: Junior Fund Management & Remittance Officer

Requirement: Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing Management, or any related field

Experience: One year of relevant experience, ideally in the banking sector.

The job’s purpose is to support foreign bank negotiations, work with remittance agencies and forex activities, and foster positive relationships with correspondent banks.

Particular Roles:

• Verify that all payments made via SWIFT are made in authorised foreign currencies and are appropriately posted in the bank’s system;

• Draught requests for foreign exchange and send them to the relevant Senior Managers for assessment and approval.

• Help compile Forex Bureau and Remittance Agency performance reports so they can update their status and, if needed, take corrective action;

• Participate in locating potential negotiation targets with remittance service providers;

• Carry out additional tasks as needed.

Workplace: Addis Ababa

 

Officer of Import/Export Services in Position 2

Requirement: Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing Management, or any related field

Experience: One year and a half of relevant banking experience, with one year spent as an officer.

The aim of the job is to optimise the bank’s revenue maximisation efforts by effectively managing import-export trade services in compliance with international regulations and bank policies.

Particular Roles:

• Receive, review, and ensure that import and export L/C documents are presented in accordance with the terms and conditions;

• Communicate with foreign banks and branch outlets to ensure the seamless operation of import and export business;

• After confirming that the shipping documents comply with the terms and conditions of the L/C and the NBE requirements, settle the import/export documents;

• File an export sales contract and notify the Manager of the Import/Export Division of it;

• Carry out additional tasks as needed.

Workplace: Addis Ababa

 

Officer of Senior Learning and Development, Position 3

Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in management, business management, development management, public administration, or a related field

Experience: Two and a half years of relevant banking experience, including five years in an officer role.

Age range: 18 to 35

The role’s objective is to carry out learning and development initiatives that guarantee the presence of exceptionally skilled workers with the particular proficiencies needed to fulfil the bank’s vision, mission, and strategic focus.

Particular Roles:

• Take part in the planning, creation, and execution of the Bank’s organisational, functional, and employee learning and development strategies and programmes;

• Create and evaluate an annual training plan and budget in accordance with the succession plan, career management programme, and assessment of training needs;

• Examine needs, evaluate staff capabilities, and suggest ongoing education (e.g., training programmes, trainer workshops, seminars);

• Carry out additional tasks as needed.
